How can Podiatry Help you?
Our podiatrists can provide assessment and treatment for a wide range of lower limb injuries including knee pain, shin splints, ankle and foot pain. They can also provide you with up to date footwear advise, analysis of your gait (the way you walk) and prescibe orthotics. General treatment and nail surgery are also provided by the podiatrists in this clinic.

Andrea has been working at Corio Bay for three years, after working in a Podiatry based, athletic footwear store in Melbourne. Andrea has a strong background in both sporting and hiking footwear as well as work and casual footwear.
Having undertaken an honours research study investigating the association between ankle joint function and lower limb injuries in athletes, she has a particular professional interest in lower limb musculoskeletal injuries, gait assessment, orthoses prescription and footwear advice.
Andrea offers a range of podiatry services to the Geelong community, including general foot and nail care, veteran affairs, EPC and diabetic foot care, as well as biomechanical assessment.

James has a background in biomechanical research after completing his honours year at La Trobe University in 2007. He studied the effects that foot orthotics have on Achilles Tendon overuse injuries by measuring different kinetic and kinematic parameters during running gait.
James has a particular interest in lower limb biomechanics, and management of injuries in elite and recreational athletes including children and junior competitors.
He has a love for many sports including Australian Rules Football, rugby, soccer, cricket, golf, running and walking.
James also gained experience with the manufacture and prescription of orthotics as a result of working in an orthotic laboratory for two years. He is interested in footwear technology and its development.

Appointment Information
- Referral not necessary for private patients
- Referral is required for Workcover, TAC, and DVA patients
- Cost varies depending on what is required (eg. orthotics)
- Hicaps facilities available for private health insurance claims
- Appointment duration is generally around 30 minutes (initial consultations up to 45mins)
