What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is the most commonly used treatment style at the Corio Bay Health Group. There are twenty-one physiotherapists working at the nine clinics involved in the Group and they are available to treat any form of musculo skeletal condition.

- Spinal Conditions - Physios are experts in the assessment and treatment of back and neck injuries using mobilisation, manipulation, massage, electrotherapy and exercise prescription. They have the training and expertise to manage all forms of spinal problems and to provide relief and management strategies to patients with back and neck pain.
All CBHG Physiotherapists are experienced in spinal care, but Peter Biskup who works at CBHG's Geelong and Bannockburn clinics has a Masters qualification in spinal care.
Justin Edwards (CBHG Geelong and owner of CBHG Norlane) has expertise in the McKenzie style of back/neck care.

The Physios at CBHG have been dealing with many local sporting teams in the Geelong region and have a long standing reputation to provide accurate diagnosis and treatment to ensure the player returns to the sport at the earliest possible opportunity.
Jeff Oxley (Managing Director) has a Master of Sports Physiotherapy and 25 years of experience with sporting injuries; David Shannon and Rick Clingan have both been senior physios for the Geelong Football Team and Supercats Basketball; Travis McCombe, Konrad Slavinskis and Adam Saw all have Human Movement degrees as well as their Physio degrees and are well versed in the use of training, exercise physiology and fitness in their management of injuries.
The clinics also provide opportunities for management of injuries in the hydrotherapy pool and Pilates studios.
