The Bannockburn Physiotherapy Centre was established by Jeff Oxley in 1992 and continues to provide Bannockburn and the surrounding district with quality a physiotherapy service.
Our physiotherapists Elizabeth Compston and Peter Biskup (manipulative physiotherapist) are highly trained to assess and diagnose your musculoskeletal injuries and help you return to your optimum function. We educate you about the cause and nature of your condition, and work together to relieve your pain and restore normal movement using the best scientific evidence available. Treatments may include manual therapy (mobilisation, massage, stretching or gentle spinal manipulation – always with patient consent), plus specific strengthening or flexibility exercises with a focus on core stability and strategies to prevent recurrence of injury.
Physiotherapy is very effective for conditions such as back and neck pain, headaches, jaw pain, sports or workplace injuries, postural problems, joint or muscle pains, osteoarthritis, and for post-operative rehabilitation.
The clinic is situated in the newly renovated professional centre at 19 High Street (formerly Bannockburn Surgery), which also houses Podiatrists, a Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist, Optometrist and a Pathology service. We are registered providers for WorkCover, TAC clients and Veterans, offer concession rates for pensioners / health care card holders, and have HICAPS and EFTPOS facilities for immediate claiming from your health fund.

Massage
Soft Tissue Therapist Brent May specialises in sports and remedial massage, perfect for relieving muscular tension, improving flexibility and promoting relaxation. He has completed an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Myotherapy) and is registered with the AAMT so private health rebates apply. Brent currently works on Friday mornings but also practices in Newtown and at the Geelong Football Club.
Pilates
Bannockburn Physiotherapy Centre will soon offer a Pilates & Rehabilitation Gym – stay tuned!
The clinic is currently open daily except Wednesdays and alternate Saturdays.
